Shipping & Receiving Clerk – 2nd Shift

Job Overview

Nesco Resource is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a growing manufacturing facility in Lakeland. This position is ideal for candidates with warehouse, shipping and receiving, or logistics experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in maintaining accurate inventory and on-time shipments.

The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Pull, pack, crate, and ship materials and products to meet customer delivery expectations
• Receive incoming materials and production supplies by unloading trucks and stocking inventory in designated locations
• Operate a forklift safely to move materials throughout the facility
• Organize and maintain shipping supplies, including pallets, corrugated materials, staples, and other packaging supplies
• Coordinate shipments with carriers and assist with daily shipping schedules
• Prepare and distribute daily shipping manifests and maintain accurate shipping records
• Scan and file packing slips and shipping documentation for accounting and inventory purposes
• Run daily reports to prioritize shipping activities and meet production needs
• Perform cycle counts and verify incoming materials, quantities, and inventory locations
• Report inventory discrepancies and assist with maintaining inventory accuracy
• Work closely with production, warehouse, and office personnel to support daily operations

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Forklift operating experience required
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience working with an ERP system
• Comfortable navigating internet-based systems and software
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated, dependable, and solution-oriented
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
