Maintenance Technician Assistant

Nesco Resource is searching for an experienced Plant Maintenance Technician for a 2nd shift opening for local client in Conover, NC

Essential Function:

· Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all equipment, building and grounds.

· Schedule and/or perform inspections and preventative maintenance routines on all equipment, building and grounds.

· Work with production team to schedule and coordinate maintenance work on equipment.

· Assist production and engineering teams with the set-up, layout, fabrication, installation and running of production processes and equipment, experimental trials and R&D.

· Maintain supply inventory levels and organization within the maintenance shop.

· Request, order, pickup and deliver parts & supplies as needed.

· Assist purchasing department with specification and procurement of parts and supplies.

· Coordinate, schedule and supervise outside contract work.

· Supervise and train other technicians and production team as needed.

· Respond to emergency situations such as critical breakdowns, alarm calls, etc.

· Identify design insufficiencies and recommend corrective actions.

· Maintain accurate documentation and reports.

· Provide technical support for production, engineering, and maintenance teams throughout all facilities.

Work Environment:
This job operates in all areas of the facility and grounds with occasional work at any of the other facilities as needed. This role routinely uses standard hand tools and shop equipment such as grinders, drills, air tools, etc.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel:
Some local travel is expected for this position.
