About the Position
This full-time, permanent position requires a teacher who can deliver Ancient History, Modern History and Legal Studies across Years 11-12. The successful candidate will also contribute to teaching across the junior secondary years as required. The school is looking to interview suitable candidates immediately and can accommodate either an ASAP commencement or a Term 4, 2026 start.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging History and Legal Studies lessons aligned with NSW curriculum and HSC requirements.
- Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and classroom practice.
- Communicate clearly with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment, moderation and senior secondary programs.
- Provide clear classroom leadership and prepare senior students effectively for HSC coursework and assessment.
Requirements
Senior Subjects: Candidates must be able to teach Ancient History, Modern History and Legal Studies across Years 11-12.
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain accreditation with NESA.
Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential for this role.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE's onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
