Program Manager-RP-Toyota & Suzuki (YOK or Nagoya)

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for delivering the ride performance products to a customer and company satisfaction. The projects involve 2 or more regions. This position acts as a main interface between the customer and Tenneco with great visibility inside and outside of the company. This position will focus on: transition of customer needs and requirements into detailed project plans, execution of those plans, the management of cross functional global teams to secure the program award then to achieve flawless launch and its profitability.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects to both the customer’s and Tenneco’s satisfaction to secure continues business acquisition.

• Act as prime interface with the customer and responds to customer request/questions

• Assemble, develop and manage the global project team including regular global team conference calls and face to face meetings.

• Coordinate schedule for ride work at the customer’s location with the ride work team.

• Ensure financial success of the projects globally including business case development, CAR (Capital Appropriation Request) process, budget and resource planning on a global basis.

• Oversee project plans including project milestones management, risk management, project time lines.

• Foster the project team’s motivation by implementing effective team management skills.

• Implement process improvement and effective document control.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge/Experience for the development schedule control as program management.

• Proficiency in project management methodology, project planning tools and techniques.

• Knowledge/experience for the negotiation for the price/quotation and knowledge of GTOP.

• Knowledge/Experience of the quote process.

• Knowledge of industry quality standard – APQP, PPAP, DFSS, etc.

• Engineering degree with minimum 5 years in a relevant field is plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication/negotiation skills both in Japanese and English

• Have the high motivation to work and have the leadership.

• Excellent team management and time management skills as well as problem solving

skill.

• Must possess the ability to interface and influence at multiple organizational levels in both within Tenneco and with the customer.

• Professional presentation skill.

• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Power-point, etc.)

• Ability to work flexible hours, including travel and attending conference calls at night
