We are partnering with a highly regarded global logistics organisation to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to support continued growth across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this national role will focus on identifying, developing, and converting new commercial opportunities across specialised logistics solutions, including Flexitank, Isotank, and General Cargo.
You will take ownership of building and managing a strong business development pipeline, engaging with prospective customers, and developing commercial solutions that align customer requirements with operational capability. Working closely with senior leadership and internal operations teams, you will play a key role in expanding market presence and delivering sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities will include:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Australia and New Zealand markets
- Research target industries and uncover opportunities aligned with specialised logistics capabilities
- Build and manage a structured sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and digital channels
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers, partners, and key stakeholders
- Prepare tailored proposals, commercial presentations, and customer solutions
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to successful conversion
- Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure solutions are commercially viable and operationally achievable
- Support pricing activities, commercial negotiations, and customer onboarding processes
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify new opportunities
- Provide market insights to support commercial strategy and business development initiatives
About You
You are a high-energy, commercially driven Business Development professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and working as part of a collaborative team.
You are a confident communicator with a proven ability to generate new business, develop customer partnerships, and convert opportunities into long-term commercial outcomes. You thrive in an environment where you are supported by experienced leaders, given autonomy, and recognised for your contribution.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account growth within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain
- Demonstrated success building and converting a new business pipeline
- Strong commercial understanding with experience preparing proposals, pricing, and customer solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders
- Experience managing CRM systems and structured sales processes
- Exposure to CargoWise 1 (CW1) would be advantageous, however not essential
- Understanding of bulk liquid logistics, Flexitank, or Isotank solutions would be highly regarded
- Dangerous Goods experience or certification is desirable (training can be provided)
