This opportunity would suit an experienced Mathematics teacher who is passionate about senior secondary education and committed to contributing to a practising Christian school community.
About the Position
This full-time, permanent position primarily involves teaching senior Mathematics, with some occasional junior Mathematics classes as required.
The successful candidate will join the College from Term 1, 2027 and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver engaging curriculum programs, prepare students for senior assessment and support strong academic outcomes.
Relocation assistance is not offered as a standard package but may be discussed with suitable candidates on a case-by-case basis.
Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging senior Mathematics lessons aligned with the Queensland curriculum and QCAA requirements.

Occasionally teach Mathematics across the junior secondary years as required.

Prepare senior students effectively for internal assessment and external examinations.

Develop effective learning programs, assessments and classroom resources.

Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support continued development.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and classroom practice.

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and moderation.

Contribute actively to the Christian ethos and wider life of the College.
Requirements
Teaching Area: Candidates must be qualified and confident teaching senior Mathematics and be willing to occasionally teach junior Mathematics.
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
Faith Alignment: Applicants must be Christians
Work Rights: Candidates must hold appropriate Australian working rights.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
