The City of Tea Tree Gully is seeking an experienced Advisor, Injury Management and Wellbeing professional to coordinate injury management, rehabilitation and wellbeing services across the organisation.
Reporting to the Safety Business Partner, you will independently manage workers compensation, income protection and return-to-work matters, including complex and high-risk cases.


Working closely with employees, leaders, medical practitioners, insurers and rehabilitation providers, you will support early intervention, safe recovery and sustainable return-to-work outcomes. You will also contribute to wellbeing initiatives that help employees remain healthy and safe at work.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing workers compensation and income protection claims.
  • Coordinating complex and high-risk injury management cases.
  • Monitoring return-to-work plans and suitable duties.
  • Supporting early intervention, rehabilitation and recovery strategies.
  • Advising leaders on injury management and return-to-work obligations.
  • Liaising with insurers, medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers.
  • Maintaining accurate case records, reporting and legislative compliance.
  • Supporting wellbeing, employee benefits and preventative safety initiatives.
About you:
You are an experienced injury management professional who can manage sensitive and complex matters with care, sound judgement and professionalism.
You are confident supporting injured or unwell employees throughout the recovery process while helping leaders meet their obligations and achieve practical, sustainable outcomes.
You are organised, approachable and comfortable working autonomously managing multiple cases. You can build constructive relationships with employees, managers and external providers while maintaining confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
You will also have:
  • Experience managing workers compensation and income protection claims.
  • Strong return-to-work, rehabilitation and early intervention capability.
  • Experience managing complex, sensitive or high-risk cases.
  • Knowledge of relevant workers compensation and return-to-work legislation.
  • Experience working with insurers, medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers.
  • Strong case management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • The ability to influence leaders and support effective workplace outcomes.
  • Strong documentation, reporting and attention to detail.
  • ReturnToWorkSA training
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Injury Management, Human Resources, Health Sciences, Rehabilitation or a related discipline.
  • A current South Australian Class C driver’s licence.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check.
