Join a dynamic mid-tier biotech company as a Senior Manager, Revenue, and become a vital leader in our finance team during an exciting phase of growth and transition. This 6 to 8-month contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced revenue accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will oversee critical revenue recognition and gross-to-net activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, while partnering across functions to support product launches and strategic initiatives. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact, lead process improvements, and contribute to the company's continued success.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience in revenue accounting within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX compliance
• Proven ability to lead revenue recognition, gross-to-net calculations, and accounts receivable processes
• Experience with complex commercial arrangements, customer contracts, and payer agreements
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills
• Ability to partner effectively across functions such as Commercial, Finance, Legal, IT, and Compliance
• Experience with process improvement and automation initiatives in finance operations
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to review work, coach team members, and ensure high-quality deliverables

Nice to Have Skills:

• Biotech experience with government reporting, Medicaid, and Medicare compliance
• Knowledge of system implementations related to revenue recognition
• Experience with revenue analytics and data visualization tools
• Familiarity with internal controls and audit preparation in a biotech setting

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
• 7+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, ideally within biotech or life sciences
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role, managing a team or direct reports

Other Requirements:

• Location: 2 to 3 days onsite in Novato (Monday/Wed/Thurs preferred)
• Duration: 6 to 8 months with potential for extension
• Availability for an interview process consisting of 2 to 3 rounds
• Ability to work onsite part-time during the contract period
• Willingness to collaborate across multiple departments and support audit and compliance activities
