For the Lawyer Who Wants to Be Closer to Australia's Most Significant Energy Projects

You've built a solid foundation in corporate, projects or energy and resources law. The work is interesting, but you're looking for greater exposure to complex transactions, sophisticated clients and the projects shaping Australia's future energy landscape. This is where to find it.

The Firm
Our client is recognised for advising on some of Australia's most significant transactions, projects and commercial matters. The Energy and Resources  team works with major domestic and international clients across the energy, mining and resources sectors, delivering strategic advice on complex deals and long-term investments.

The combination of market-leading work, strong mentoring and a collaborative culture continues to attract lawyers looking to develop specialist expertise while working on matters of national significance.

The Timing
The energy sector continues to evolve at pace, driven by investment in renewables, decarbonisation initiatives, transmission infrastructure and emerging technologies.

As activity across the sector continues to grow, the team is expanding to meet client demand. It's an excellent time to join a practice with strong workflows, high-profile clients and a diverse pipeline of transactional and project work.

The Work Itself
This is not a practice confined to a single industry or technology. One day, you may be advising on the acquisition of a renewable energy platform, and the next, supporting the development of a major infrastructure project or structuring a joint venture between industry participants. The team acts across wind, solar, battery storage, pumped hydro, hydrogen and transmission projects, while continuing to advise on significant oil and gas, mining and resources transactions.

You'll work closely with clients as they navigate the commercial, regulatory and strategic challenges associated with developing, investing in and operating major energy and resources assets.

Where You'll Land
You'll join a highly regarded team known for the quality of its work and the calibre of its people. Lawyers are given meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to clients and access to experienced mentors invested in their long-term development.

Additional benefits include:
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Five weeks' annual leave
  • Market-leading parental leave benefits
  • Structured learning and professional development programs
  • National mentoring initiatives
  • Wellbeing and employee support programs
  • A collaborative and inclusive culture
Sound Like You?
You'll be a lawyer with 3+ years' post-admission experience gained in energy and resources, projects, corporate or commercial law, coupled with strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills. Commercially minded and client-focused, you'll enjoy working on complex deals and have a genuine interest in the energy transition, major project development and the industries shaping Australia's future.

Lawyers with experience in renewables, mining, oil and gas, infrastructure or broader corporate transactions are encouraged to apply.
