About the Role:Our Federal Government Client is seeking an Identity Engineer / IAM Engineer. This is a 12-month contract with 1 x 12-month extension option, located in ACT, VIC or NSW with hybrid working arrangements (minimum 3 days per week in the office and up to 2 days working from home, subject to manager approval).

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Design, implement and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions for the organisation's internal workforce.
• Configure and manage cloud-based IAM platforms, ensuring secure authentication, authorisation and user lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective IAM solutions.
• Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO), Conditional Access Policies and Application Registrations.
• Develop automation solutions to improve IAM capabilities and streamline administrative processes.
• Ensure IAM solutions align with security best practices, compliance requirements and organisational standards.
• Optimise IAM solutions for scalability, performance and user experience.

To be successful in this role you should have:

• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and maintaining Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with cloud-based IAM platforms such as Okta, Saviynt or Ping Identity.
• Experience implementing and supporting Single Sign-On (SSO), Conditional Access Policies and Application Registration.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while independently managing priorities and workload.
• Current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.

It is desirable if you have:

• Experience developing automation or scripting to improve IAM processes.
• Knowledge of cloud identity technologies and security best practices.
• Experience working within a Federal Government or large enterprise environment.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and hold a current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
