Our client, a leading energy and infrastructure company, is seeking a qualified Project Scheduler to join their Project Scheduling Team within the Engineering and Construction Division. This role works directly with Project Originators, Developers, Early Stage Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Construction Managers, supporting the development, engineering, and construction of a diverse portfolio of technologies including wind, solar, energy storage, transmission lines, substations, pipelines, and combined cycle facilities.
Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the Engineering and Construction department. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating, maintaining, and progressing project schedules using Primavera P6 software
- Preparing monthly reports for construction projects, comparing baseline approved schedules to progress schedules
- Performing critical path method (CPM) analysis, resource loading, and cost loading
- Conducting manpower submittal analysis and evaluating update impacts
- Supporting the development of recovery plans as needed
- Coordinating multidisciplinary meetings and leading Schedule Review Meetings with all project participants
- Reporting project status and variances to management in a clear, concise manner
Essential Job Duties and Job Functions:
- Serve as a key member of the scheduling team, supporting project teams across multiple technologies to drive project success through the entire project lifecycle
- Develop effective and accurate schedules in collaboration with project stakeholders
- Gather scope, logistics, and constraints from all project participants to incorporate into plans and schedules
- Maintain strong working relationships across teams and departments
Knowledge and Skills:
- 4+ years of experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Fast learner with the ability to work independently and drive project updates
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead Schedule Review Meetings and coordinate cross-functional requirements
- Strong bias for action; analytical mindset with the ability to review, validate, and critique external information
- Excellent process management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience
- 4+ years of relevant Primavera P6 scheduling experience
