Technical Training Specialist

Technical Training Specialist | Pomona, CA | 18-Month Contract | $37.22/hr

We're looking for an experienced Technical Training Specialist to support a large-scale training programme within a major utility environment. This is a hands-on role covering end-to-end training logistics, delivery coordination, and stakeholder management across instructor-led, virtual, and hybrid formats.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage all logistical activities for ILT, VILT, and CVILT sessions, including venue setup, A/V, meals, and accessibility readiness
• Coordinate and manage participant hardware needs, including laptops, peripherals, login access, and system connectivity — troubleshooting issues as they arise
• Prepare and manage training materials including attendance sheets, evaluations, job aids, and quick references — handling distribution, collection, and post-session handoff
• Act as Producer during live ILT sessions
• Support scheduling during peak periods and serve as the primary contact point for facilities
• Track and communicate site constraints, safety protocols, and operational limitations affecting training delivery
• Support post-training follow-up activities including tracking and resolving outstanding action items
• Contribute to training-related budget support

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in business operations, training, organisational readiness, and/or ERP or business transformation
• 2+ years leading or supporting training functions — this may include instructional design, training delivery, scheduling, or learning technologies
• Familiarity with learning models and tools such as ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, Enable Now, MS Project, and SAP/S4HANA
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide training or organisational readiness programmes
• 2+ years working across cross-functional or cross-organisational teams
• 3+ years collaborating with stakeholders and senior management to drive outcomes
• Strong communicator — comfortable translating technical content for non-technical audiences

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, HR, Project Management, or Instructional Design
• Understanding of ERP implementation processes and training best practices
• Experience working in a Transmission & Distribution (T&D) environment
