IT Service Delivery Manager | Federal Government | Canberra (On-site)

We are looking for an experienced IT Service Delivery Manager for an initial 16-week contract with a Federal Government client based in Canberra.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading ICT service operations, driving continuous service improvement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT support across a Microsoft-centric environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the ICT support team.
  • Manage Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
  • Drive service improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and executive users.
  • Support the implementation of a new IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Oversee service performance, reporting and operational governance.

About you

You'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience as an IT Service Delivery Manager, IT Operations Manager or similar.
  • Strong ITIL Service Management experience.
  • Experience leading Service Desk and End User Computing teams.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and modern workplace technologies.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Freshdesk or similar.
  • Experience implementing or configuring an ITSM/ticketing platform will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • An active Baseline Security Clearance (minimum).
