Senior Workday Financials Support Consultant

JOB OVERVIEW:


We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Financials Support Consultant to provide L2/L3 production support across a complex Workday Financial Management environment.

This role will act as a functional lead across key Workday Financials areas, including Financial Accounting, Banking & Settlement, Customer Accounts, Projects, Assets, Grants and Financial Reporting. You will work closely with Finance and Technology teams to troubleshoot production issues, support enhancements, maintain stable operations and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support across the Workday Financial Management platform.
• Support Financial Accounting, including FDM, ledger accounts, journals, accounting adjustments, intercompany processing, allocations and settlements.
• Troubleshoot banking, payments and settlement issues, including bank statements, reconciliation exceptions and payment files.
• Support Customer Accounts and Revenue, including customer data, invoicing, receivables, revenue recognition and collections.
• Support Projects and Grants, including project setup, costing, grant management, award administration and project accounting.
• Support Business Assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements and reconciliation.
• Manage financial reporting, custom reports, dashboards, month-end activities, reconciliations and audit requests.
• Support Workday security activities including user provisioning, role assignments, domain security, access reviews and Segregation of Duties.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement effective resolutions.
• Work closely with Finance, Technology and other business stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the Workday Financials ecosystem.

Key Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of Workday Financials experience.
• Strong hands-on experience across:
  • Financial Accounting
  • Banking & Settlement
  • Customer Accounts
  • Projects
  • Assets
  • Grants
• Strong knowledge of Workday FDM and Financial Reporting.
• Experience with Accounting Center concepts and EIB processing.
• Strong L2/L3 production support and troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working across complex Workday environments and multiple business/technology teams.

Desirable

• Utilities industry experience.
• Workday Financials certification.
• Experience in multi-company environments.
• Month-end close support experience.
• Audit and compliance experience.
