RoadTek operates within the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, supporting the delivery of transport infrastructure across Queensland.
This opportunity sits within RoadTek’s capability function and will contribute to the development and improvement of learning materials designed to support its workforce.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AO5 Senior Capability Advisor to develop and enhance face-to-face, blended and online learning solutions for RoadTek’s workforce.
This is a hands-on design and development role where you will uplift existing eLearning courses and create new learning materials. Your work will include eLearning content, presentation slides, facilitator resources, learner materials, activities, assessments and visual learning assets.
Working under the direction of the Senior Advisor, Capability, you will manage allocated tasks autonomously while collaborating closely with the instructional design team, subject matter experts and business stakeholders.
You will use your instructional design expertise and creativity to translate workplace learning requirements into clear, practical and engaging learning experiences.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring two to five years of professional instructional design experience, together with demonstrated experience developing adult workplace learning.
You will also bring:
- Strong written communication and visual design capability
- Practical experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline
- Strong stakeholder collaboration and negotiation skills
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team
- The ability to develop engaging learning resources across digital, blended and face-to-face formats
Experience using Canva will be desirable, while candidates with strong visual design skills and the demonstrated ability to quickly learn new design skills will be highly regarded.
A qualification in Training Design and Development or an equivalent discipline is highly desirable. Experience developing learning for blue-collar, operational, construction, infrastructure, transport, trade or safety-focused workforces will also be highly regarded.
