Leading provider of nursing recruitment services on the lookout for an experienced Payroll Officer to join busy this Payroll team. You will manage a high-volume, end-to-end weekly payroll function and ensure their nurses are paid accurately and on time. This is an initial 3-6 month contract role with potential to extend.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys owning the payroll process, working closely with internal teams, and delivering exceptional service to employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end weekly payroll processing for a large workforce of nursing professionals
- Process timesheets, allowances, penalties, overtime, deductions and adjustments accurately
- Interpret and apply relevant awards, agreements and payroll legislation
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG and employment obligations
- Resolve payroll queries from employees, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate payroll records and complete reconciliations and reporting
- Work closely with recruitment, finance and operations teams to streamline payroll processes
- Have proven experience in an end-to-end payroll position
- Strong understanding of weekly payroll processing in a high-volume environment
- Experience interpreting awards and complex pay conditions
- Healthcare, nursing, aged care or recruitment payroll experience highly desirable
- Familiarity with nursing awards and shift-based pay structures advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously
