AMI Operator – 2nd Shift

Nesco Resource is currently hiring an AMI Operator for our client in New Baltimore, MI. This is a 2nd shift, contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term employment.

Position Details

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $18.50/hour + $0.75/hour shift premium
• Overtime: Available based on production needs
• Location: New Baltimore, MI
• Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload hoppers as needed.
• Sort rejected parts and perform retesting.
• Weigh and seal boxes for shipment.
• Handle materials and pull material for machine changeovers.
• Perform final audits and initiate work instructions.
• Ensure changeovers are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Complete dock audit sign-offs.
• Enter and maintain work orders.
• Verify test parts and inspect poke-yokes.
• Follow the production build schedule provided by the Materials department.
• Perform minor repairs and machine adjustments as needed.
• Maintain process books, log sheets, and One Point Lessons.
• Enter production and quality data into the computer system throughout the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production schedules.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic measuring devices.
• Previous manufacturing or automotive experience is a plus.
• Computer literacy preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers, and legs.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks requiring hand-eye coordination.
• Clear verbal communication.
• Ability to distinguish basic colors and demonstrate depth perception.

Working Environment

• Work is performed indoors in an automotive components manufacturing environment.
• May be exposed to varying temperatures, fumes, chemicals, grease, and oils.
• Exposure to machinery with moving parts.
• Noise levels may consistently exceed 85 dB and may include vibration.
• May occasionally work with hands in water or work independently.
• Overtime may be required based on production demands.
