Integrated to the Valeo Lighting Systems R&D Department,
Customer interface for R&D, handle Engineering Matters (Mainly for Software, Hardware or Mechanical is a plus) for Project and RFQ stage.
Main Responsibilities :
Lead Projects as an interface between Customer and Production site Project team.
- Establish close relationship with Customer to share Key point for the customer to each sites.
- Explain the engineering recommendation of each sites to handle project smoothly.
- Advise each sites PTM what have to be prepared by when for each Japanese customer events, proactively.
Lead activities such as Software (=SW)/Hardware (=HW) verification, conduct design reviews with Japan-OEMs, prepare for the reviews, and manage progress.
Clearly understand the documents prepared by the development site, and effectively present to customer in Japanese.
To support and represent other SW and HW matters in front of the customers from RFQ up-to project production completion.
Profile Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor degree in electronics engineering / Software or similar majors
Work experience: System experience for a minimum of 3 years in Electronics & Systems in Automotive industry, Lighting experience (is preferred, not a must)
C language is mandatory, and experience in developing on STM32/NXP series platforms is a plus.
Familiarity with communication methods such as LIN, CAN.
System setup and test skill or experience: multimeter, Oscilloscope, MCU flashing, LIN/CAN communication tools.
Good communication skill with Valeo development sites, Mainly for China Foshan development team.
Understand business customs at work in Japan
Language: Japanese mandatory (native speaker), English or Chinese (business level)
Work style
Basically work at office 2 days a week. Visit clients from time to time (Nagoya and Kanagawa and so on, basically day trip only)
Team members are diverse, French, Chinese and Japanese
