Position Title : Key Account Manager Date : Oct 2021 Department: Leather Incumbent: Agreed: Supervisor: Director Global Key Accounts Leather, Leather Agreed: PURPOSE ( Why the position exists, within what limits and with what objectives) Responsible for Leather division strategy and performance at the Key Account (s), identifying and evaluating potential new business opportunities and key projects, based on Corporate guidelines, policies and procedures and Local Law, in order to grow, increase and consolidate business market share. PROBLEM SOLVING Primary responsibility is to maintain current business and to grow the business. Identifying the Company's prospecting targets (potential customers). Identify improvement opportunities and initiate/co-drive actions to increase the profitability and cash generation of the account (s). INDEPENDENCE Scheduling of customer visits, prompt response to customers’ enquiry. This position requires the ability to work independently. DEPENDENCE Budgetary constraints, strategic direction, alterations to distribution, infrastructure, staff hiring requires two levels of approvals, pricing; delivery and stockholding, difficult technical problems; advice on application formulation and new product development ENVIRONMENT AND RISK : Exposure to chemicals and machine operations with frequent travelling Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Necessary and minimum requirements) Education : Bachelor degree preferred in Chemistry or related science Experience : 5 to 10 years in Sales Management Experience Profile/requirements . Good communicating skills in Japanese and English both written and verbal. Sales management, project management and negotiation and SAP skills. Business travel is required for this job, ~60% of the time. Expected to travel to get the job done and develop business with the customer. Some international travel is required.
