Financial Accountant

The Company

A large organisation based in Brisbane’s western suburbs is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team on a 12 month contract.

This is a broad financial accounting role within a sizeable and established team. You will be involved across month end, reporting, reconciliations, audit support and improving the way existing processes are managed.

The Role

• Completing month end accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with financial reporting across a complex business
• Working closely with commercial finance and operational stakeholders
• Supporting audit and year end requirements
• Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
• Assisting with finance projects and other accounting requirements as they arise

About You

You will ideally have at least three years of experience in a Financial Accountant role and be comfortable working across multiple entities, business units or cost centres.

Strong Excel skills are important, along with the ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders across the business.You will be degree qualified in accounting, with CA or CPA studies viewed favourably but not essential.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys a varied role, can work independently and is comfortable joining a large and busy finance environment.
