Finance & Business Intelligence Analyst

Some commercial finance roles maintain reporting. This one is about building what great commercial reporting should look like.

Our client is a well-established business entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. Backed by significant investment, the organisation is investing heavily in its commercial capability, technology and decision-making frameworks.

As a result, a newly created  position has been established to partner directly with the Finance Director, operations, and leadership team.

You'll have the opportunity to shape how commercial reporting, business intelligence and financial insight are delivered, helping move the organisation from static reporting to meaningful analysis that influences real business decisions.

The Opportunity
You'll work across finance and operations to identify commercial opportunities, improve reporting capability and provide the analysis that supports better decisions.

You'll enjoy this role if you like asking questions such as:

• Why is margin moving?
• Where are the biggest commercial opportunities?
• How can reporting become faster, more meaningful and automated?
• What insights aren't currently visible?
• How can data improve decision making?

Your work will span:

• Commercial analysis and business partnering
• Financial modelling and scenario analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Pricing and profitability analysis
• Power BI dashboards and business intelligence
• Process improvement, automation and AI-enabled initiatives
• Executive reporting and strategic projects

About You
We're looking for someone who combines a strong finance foundation with genuine analytical curiosity.

You may currently be working as a:

• Commercial Analyst
• FP&A Analyst
• Finance Business Partner
• Senior Financial Analyst
• Commercial Finance Analyst

You'll bring experience in areas such as:

• Commercial analysis and financial modelling
• Power BI (or similar BI platforms)
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Business partnering
• Dashboard development and reporting automation
• Advanced Excel, with SQL highly regarded

Most importantly, you enjoy turning data into commercial insight and influencing decisions across the business.
