About the Company Our client delivers secure, business-critical technology services within a highly regulated government environment. They are seeking a Linux & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their Operations team and support reliable and secure service delivery.

About the Role The Linux & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will support, monitor and maintain Linux and Microsoft Azure-based environments. Working as part of the Operations team, you will provide day-to-day support across cloud infrastructure, Linux servers, monitoring platforms and business-critical applications.

Contract Term

• 12-month contract

• Applicants must hold a current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.

Major Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Linux server environments.
• Perform system patching, upgrades and routine maintenance.
• Monitor system health and performance using Grafana and other monitoring tools.
• Investigate and resolve system issues and incidents.
• Support Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Assist with application deployments and upgrades.
• Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures and support materials.
• Support security, compliance and operational assurance activities. 

Skills and Experience

• Between one and three years of experience in Linux administration, infrastructure support or cloud operations.
• Experience supporting Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience using monitoring tools such as Grafana.
• Understanding of infrastructure and networking fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within an IT operations or service delivery environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent practical experience. 

Desirable Experience

• Basic scripting experience using Bash or PowerShell.
• Exposure to Azure administration.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Azure Monitor or similar monitoring tools.
• Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with Grafana and Red Hat Satellite.
• Relevant technical certifications.
