We're recruiting for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join one of New Zealand's leading food manufacturing operations based in Taranaki.

About the Role
Working within a large-scale production environment, you'll be responsible for ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime and maintaining critical production equipment.
This is a true industrial maintenance role requiring someone who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where reliability and food safety are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding across production and processing equipment
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Breakdown response and repairs
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment
• PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting production to minimise downtime
• Working safely within food manufacturing standards
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Contributing to plant reliability and operational efficiency

To be successful, you will have:

• Current New Zealand EWRB Practising Licence (Non-Negotiable)
• Industrial electrical maintenance experience
• Food manufacturing, dairy, meat processing, beverage, FMCG or production manufacturing experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
• Experience with motors, conveyors, pumps, drives and control systems
• Preventative and reactive maintenance experience
• PLC fault-finding experience (advantageous)
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Full NZ Driver Licence
