Engineering Surveyor

A highly successful civil contractor has just secured a record amount of new tenders, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join their growing Brisbane team.

With a significant pipeline of civil infrastructure and subdivision projects secured, this is an excellent opportunity for a Surveyor looking to take the next step with a contractor that has plenty of work ahead.

The Role Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors, you will be responsible for delivering accurate surveying across a range of civil construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting out civil construction works including roads, drainage, earthworks and subdivisions
• Providing accurate levels, coordinates and construction set-out
• Undertaking bulk earthworks and detailed civil surveying
• Completing as-built surveys and maintaining accurate survey records
• Working closely with site teams to identify and resolve construction issues
• Using modern surveying equipment and software
• Supporting Project Engineers and Site Supervisors throughout project delivery
• Ensuring surveying activities are completed accurately and in line with project requirements

About You We are looking for an Engineering Surveyor with 3–6 years' experience, ideally gained within a civil contracting environment.

You will ideally have:

• 3–6 years' experience as an Engineering/Civil Surveyor
• Experience across roads, earthworks, drainage, subdivisions or civil infrastructure
• Strong construction set-out experience
• Relevant surveying qualifications
• Experience using modern survey equipment and software
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a project team
• A strong understanding of civil construction methodologies
