Senior Engineer (Seating)

Position Summary

Developing automotive seats with JOEM

• Lead the engineering design activity between JOEM and Global engineering groups to meet Customer requirement and specifications
• Ensure development processes meet JOEM methodologies and processes

Role & Responsibilities

Interface with JOEM customer

• Primary technical contact

• Liaison between JOEM and Global Development team

• Support Sales in new business with JOEM

• Lead a team of Engineers (On a project basis)(Not line management)

• Ensure best practices are being followed

• Ensure program timing deliverables are being met

• Ensure systems (PLM, Profile and PMP) are being used correctly

• Provide guidance to engineers

• Lead engineering open issues

• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure designs are feasible

• Support Program Management, Sales and Quality

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical engineering degree
• Over 10 years of experience in developing automotive seats
• Business level English (or fluent Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) if the candidate is a non-Japanese)
