Assistant Brand Manager

This newly created Assistant Brand Manager role gives you day-to-day ownership of a market-leading brand within our portfolio - not in a few years' time, but from day one. Reporting to a senior Marketing Manager, you'll be the key point of contact for the brand and hands-on with every element of its strategy and execution, while also supporting a Brand Manager in a fast-growing category elsewhere in the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Own the brand's P&L day to day, including budget planning, reconciliation and portfolio forecasting
• Help build the long-term brand and innovation strategy, using fresh consumer research to move communication beyond a purely functional, seasonal message
• Project manage NPD initiatives in partnership with the Innovation team
• Lead market analysis and category insights, using retail scan data to identify growth opportunities
• Develop social and content strategies that build brand engagement and trust
• Support a second Brand Manager on a new brand launch, and gain exposure to the healthcare-professional channel

What You'll Bring:

• Around 2+ years' experience in an Assistant Brand Manager or Marketing Assistant role, ideally in a fast-paced, progressive consumer business (FMCG, beauty, skincare, or health and wellness). A different category is genuinely welcome - fresh thinking is part of the brief
• A strong all-round marketing foundation: the analytical skills to manage a P&L, budget and forecast; the strategic potential to build a brand and innovation plan; and the creative instinct to shape communication
• Comfort with numbers - managing an A&P budget, reconciliations and portfolio forecasting
• Ideally some exposure to retail scan data (IQVIA, NielsenIQ, Circana or similar) - not essential, but it will get the right person up to speed faster
• Comfort working across pharmacy and grocery channels is a plus
• Above all, attitude and fit - passion, work ethic and the drive to run at a fast-changing business, and make it your own
