R&I Technical Leader

Our client, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, supplies a wide range of products to automakers and the aftermarket. 

Hands-on R&I (Research & Innovation) for automated driving.

This role has the potential of concepts making it into production as a product or service offering to vehicle manufacturers.

Possibility to propose patents for your innovative solutions.

Overview:

• Lead and contribute to the innovation related development activities of automated driving for Japan needs (aligned with worldwide ADAS platform and project teams)
• Lead and contribute to the integration of prototypes and demonstrators including testing of the same
• Support the sales and delivery of automated driving related kits for the customers

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical developments on autonomous vehicles, improving their HW/SW functions and system
• Development and adaptation of perception, fusion, localization, mission planning, decision algorithms adapted to Japanese infrastructure & needs, including artificial intelligence algorithms.
• Collaboration with startups, strategic partners, and/or vehicle manufacturers developing cutting edge projects
• Lead showcase projects in demo vehicles to corporate leadership, at major technology and motor show events, and to customers.

Requirements

• Engineer with previous experience or education in automotive or robotics (3 - 8 years)
• C, C++ (Object Oriented Programming), Python skills
• Hands on experience with development of prototypes
• Knowledge and experience of embedded software development 
• Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols CAN & Ethernet
• Japanese driving license.
• Japanese (Native or Business)
• English (Intermediate level acceptable)
