Job Summary
EnCon is seeking a Director of Sales & Preconstruction to lead business development, market strategy, and preconstruction efforts throughout the Denver market and surrounding Mountain West region. This high-impact leadership role serves as both a strategic sales leader and a technical precast resource, responsible for driving market growth, developing key industry relationships, and supporting project pursuit efforts.
Unlike traditional sales leadership positions, this role requires deep precast concrete expertise and the ability to leverage technical product knowledge throughout the sales and preconstruction process. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding EnCon’s market presence, increasing project opportunities, and shaping long-term growth strategies across the region.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Growth
- Lead outside sales and business development initiatives across Colorado and surrounding territories.
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers, owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities to support backlog growth and long-term market expansion.
- Represent EnCon at industry events, networking functions, and customer meetings.
- Increase market visibility within both the construction and precast concrete communities.
Preconstruction & Project Pursuit Leadership
- Support and vet project opportunities throughout the preconstruction process.
- Collaborate with estimating teams to provide market intelligence and project insights.
- Assist in developing project pursuit strategies and competitive positioning.
- Support estimating activities through customer engagement and project information gathering.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource on precast concrete products and applications.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to estimating and business development personnel.
- Foster collaboration between sales, estimating, operations, and executive leadership.
- Support organizational growth initiatives through strategic planning and market development.
- Help shape future business development and estimating strategies across the organization.
Qualifications
Industry Experience
- Strong precast concrete industry experience required.
- Deep understanding of precast concrete products, applications, and project delivery methods.
- Business development and outside sales experience required.
- Construction industry experience required.
- Preconstruction and estimating knowledge strongly preferred.
- Experience working with developers, owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
