Job DescripƟon
As a Systems Design Engineer working for Bose AutomoƟve, you will be part of a close-knit team
within the world-wide Bose SoŌware OrganizaƟon and AutomoƟve Systems Division.
You will help delivering cuƫng-edge acousƟcal technology for various OEMs, that lead to unique and
exciƟng premium audio and noise management experiences. These soluƟons will involve a variety of
development models spanning from Bose amplifier soŌware across various soŌware delivery models,
to full Up-Integrated Head-Unit soŌware with the goal to deliver the excepƟonal Bose experience to
OEMs and their end customers. You will work closely with hardware, soŌware and algorithm teams
in specifying and designing soluƟons including but not limited to embedded and supporƟng PC based
 

What you'll do:
 Design and Develop Audio Processing and Noise management Systems (soŌware, electronics,
and audio).
 Engage with customers, internal, and external stakeholders to accurately idenƟfy systems
funcƟonality, use cases, and requirements. Collaborate with the stakeholders to resolve any
open issues.
 Use modeling techniques (UML/SysML) to define the system architecture and assess real
world system performance.
 Lead the development of the overall system architecture, create technical documentaƟon
and manage system requirements.
 Define and support system integraƟon tesƟng.
 Support the soŌware delivery team throughout the development lifecycle.
 Responsible for analyzing customer requirements, decomposing system requirements, and
maintaining the requirements within the requirements management tool in accordance to
ASPICE standards. Responsible for ASPICE SYS.1, SYS.2, SYS.3.
 ParƟcipate in process improvement iniƟaƟves.
 Collaborate with other global system engineers and architects to derive common system
designs.
 Engage with customers to define the product tuning interface.

What you'll need:
 Bachelor’s (Masters preferred) Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and
Math) discipline.
 At least 5 years of experience with defining the System Architecture for embedded system’s
soŌware.

 Knowledge of general-purpose processor architectures, such as ARM as well as DSPs and
GPUs.
 Experience in System Modelling languages and Requirements management tools.
 Fluency in Japanese as well as in the English languages.
 Ability to work directly with customers, providing soluƟons real Ɵme.
 Ability to support occasional travel.

Helpful Skills:
 Knowledge of digital audio processing.
 Knowledge of AutomoƟve soŌware development processes and methodologies.
 Familiarity with vehicle architecture and communicaƟon protocols.
