Clear a defined backlog of compliance incidents for a major APRA‑regulated financial services organisation.

This is a short‑term, high‑impact contract suited to someone who knows compliance incident management inside out and enjoys tidy, contained pieces of work. You’ll step in, take ownership of a backlog of compliance incidents, and work through them methodically — triage, assess, document, close. No transformation program. No endless stakeholder circus. Just focused delivery.
You’ll work with senior compliance stakeholders to ensure incidents are accurately categorised, root causes validated, and documentation meets APRA/ASIC expectations. If you like structured work, clear outcomes and getting things done without the fluff, this is a great fit.

What you’ll do
  • Work through a backlog of compliance incidents
  • Complete triage, assessment, documentation and closure
  • Ensure alignment with APRA/ASIC regulatory expectations
  • Provide clear, simple reporting and updates
  • Support small compliance uplift tasks as needed
About You (Prerequisites)
  • You bring the core capabilities of a senior compliance professional in an APRA‑regulated environment:
  • Experience in an APRA and/or ASIC‑regulated financial services organisation
  • Proven experience managing compliance incidents end‑to‑end
  • Strong understanding of APRA, AUSTRAC, ASIC, AFCA, OAIC, ACCC and AFSL obligations
  • Ability to interpret regulation and turn it into practical, business‑ready requirements
  • Experience with risk and compliance monitoring programs
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Strong judgement, prioritisation and ability to keep things simple
  • Financial crime compliance experience is not relevant for this role
