Injury Coder | Allied Health

$60/hr + Super | Fully Remote | ASAP Start | 4-Week Contract + Potential Extension

MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a leading workplace rehabilitation provider to recruit an experienced Injury Coder for an immediate temporary assignment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an Allied Health background and experience in AIS/injury coding to join an established team of Injury Coders. The role is fully remote and will initially be offered as a 4-week contract, with potential to extend.

You’ll be responsible for reviewing medical information and applying AIS classifications and injury codes to CTP claims across NSW, SA and QLD, ensuring all coding is completed accurately and within required timeframes.

Role Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse medical information relating to CTP claims
  • Apply appropriate AIS classifications and injury codes
  • Code claims across NSW, SA and QLD in line with relevant regulator guidelines
  • Ensure coding is completed accurately and within required timeframes
  • Liaise with internal Quality Assurance teams when required
  • Support regulator audits and ensure coding meets required standards
  • Apply critical thinking when reviewing complex medical and injury information
  • Work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating with the wider team

Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology or Exercise Science
  • Previous injury coding experience highly regarded
  • AIS (Abbreviated Injury Scale) qualification or experience highly regarded
  • Experience within CTP, personal injury, insurance or workplace rehabilitation would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of injury management and relevant regulatory guidelines
  • Confident interpreting medical information and applying appropriate injury codes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines in a remote environment
