Operational Excellence Engineer (Food / FMCG Manufacturing)

Position Overview

Are you a data-driven process optimizer with a passion for digital transformation and continuous improvement in food manufacturing?

We are seeking a proactive OpEx Engineer for a leading, global food manufacturing facility located in Chonburi. In this role, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives, drive digitalization projects (MES & digital tools), and optimize production line capacity to boost OEE and minimize operational losses.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analytics & Digitalization:
  • Track and analyze OEE, loss trees, and manufacturing KPIs to drive data-led operational decisions.
  • Act as the key user for digital manufacturing tools (MES / Operations Cockpit) and lead plant IT/digitalization implementation initiatives.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and build structured performance dashboards to monitor plant efficiency.
• Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement (CI):
  • Drive Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma projects to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
  • Establish operational excellence standards, work methods, and best practices across production teams.
  • Partner with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to eliminate process bottlenecks.
• Capacity Planning & Simulation:
  • Develop and maintain capacity models and standard crew plans to align with production demand.
  • Run simulation models for process changes, new production lines, capacity expansion, and capital investment projects.
• Knowledge Transfer & Cross-Functional Support:
  • Train and mentor plant floor personnel on Lean methodologies, OpEx tools, and structured problem-solving.
  • Support R&D and quality teams in process/product validation and ensure strict adherence to food safety standards.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Proven track record in a production support / operational improvement role within Food Manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Practical experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), automation control systems, or process simulation software.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of food safety/quality standards (GMP, HACCP, BRCGS, HALAL).
• Languages: Business English proficiency (written & spoken) and native/fluent Thai.
• Soft Skills: Hands-on mindset (enjoys being on the shop floor), strong problem-solving acumen, excellent communication, and an entrepreneurial approach to driving change.
