Engineering Storesman


Opportunity to join a well-established and growing operation within the construction materials sector, as they look to add an experienced Storeman to support their site operations in Offaly.

Company:

Our client is a long-standing and reputable operator within the construction materials industry, supplying essential products to a wide range of sectors including construction and infrastructure. With continued investment in their operations and steady growth, they are now seeking to strengthen their onsite team. This role offers a stable working environment with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork.


Role:

The successful Storeman will be based on-site in Offaly and will play a key role in supporting plant and maintenance operations through effective stock management and organisation:

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming deliveries of parts and materials

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control systems

• Issue parts, tools, and consumables to maintenance and production teams

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering of required materials

• Carry out regular stock takes and audits

• Ensure the stores area is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards

• Liaise with suppliers and delivery drivers

• Support general site operations as required


Person:

This role would suit someone with previous experience in a similar industrial or warehouse environment. Key requirements include:

• Experience in a storeman or warehouse role, ideally within construction materials, manufacturing, or heavy industry

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage stock effectively and maintain accurate records

• Basic IT skills for stock systems and reporting

• Forklift licence is desirable (or willingness to obtain)

• Good understanding of health and safety practices

• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team


Package:

• Salary: €40,000 – €47,000 (depending on experience)

• Full-time, permanent position (39-hour week)

• Stable working environment with long-term prospects
