The Company
An established international manufacturer and specialist provider of entrance, access and security solutions, supplying high-quality systems to commercial buildings and major projects across Ireland.
The business works on a wide variety of commercial and specialist projects, delivering technically advanced entrance and security systems for customers across the country.
Due to continued project activity, they are now looking to add an experienced Installation Engineer to their Dublin-based team.
The Role
As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, setup and commissioning of specialist entrance and security systems across commercial and project sites.
This is a hands-on field-based position, with the majority of your time spent working on customer and construction sites. You'll work alongside project teams to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The role would suit someone with a strong electrical, mechanical or electromechanical background who enjoys practical engineering and solving problems on site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install and commission specialist entrance and security systems
- Carry out mechanical and electrical installation work
- Assemble, align and adjust equipment on site
- Complete system setup, testing and commissioning
- Diagnose and resolve technical and installation issues
- Read and work from technical drawings and installation documentation
- Liaise with customers, contractors and site teams
- Complete installation, snagging and handover documentation
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety requirements
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to a high standard

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Installation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Service Engineer looking to develop specialist expertise within a highly technical product environment.
You don't need previous experience with the company's specific products. Full product and technical training will be provided, alongside on-site support from an experienced engineering team.
The role offers plenty of variety, with projects across different commercial environments rather than being tied to the same site every day.
The Person
We're looking for someone with 3+ years' relevant engineering or installation experience, ideally from an electrical, mechanical or electromechanical environment.
Relevant backgrounds could include:
- Electrical installation
- Mechanical installation
- Automatic doors
- Access control
- Security systems
- Gate automation
- Lifts or escalators
- Electromechanical equipment
- Automated machinery
- Construction-site engineering
You'll ideally be:
- Technically minded and hands-on
- Comfortable working with mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong at fault finding and problem solving
- Able to read technical drawings and instructions
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Organised and safety conscious
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a project team
- Confident dealing with customers and contractors
- Willing to travel as required
A full clean driving licence is essential.

Location
Dublin / Greater Dublin Area
The role is predominantly field-based, with regular travel to customer and project sites.
Typical working hours are approximately 8:00am–4:30pm, although some projects may require flexibility around start times.
