Description:
2-4 years. Clear technical understanding of chemistries, products, and projects they support. Contributes to innovative technical solutions to challenging problems. Successful completion of multiple meaningful, projects which bring value to the *** portfolio.
This position will initially be responsible for 1 product, its scheduling of deliveries and empty container returns, problem solving of any issues with the product ( or reaching out to technical or management for assistance), and some minor material testing
The product is in the paint shop. It's a sound deadened that is applied by robot.
The contractor would need to take inventory daily, monitor the pumps and equipment ( no work on said equipment just monitor and notify if issues occur) . They would need to do spot checks on the material after application, both for appearance and thickness. They would also need to test the material if there are issues. Equipment is a cap viscometrr and a press flow gauge. Both fairly easy to learn.
Lastly they would schedule deliveries , notify the plant to unload, and schedule empty returns.
That is the bulk of the work. The plant has 2 shifts, but I'd expect t them to only work day shift unless a major issue occurs . The plant switches from 4/5 day work weeks m-thurs with the occasional Friday. I would say the contractor would need to likely be on 4 10 hour shifts. If the plant shifts to fridays every week we would want to switch to 5-8 hour days.
