About the School
HARKE has partnered with a co-educational Catholic Day and Boarding School in regional NSW, educating more than 900 students across Years 7-12, including approximately 150 boarders from rural, regional and remote communities. Grounded in the Marist tradition, the College offers a strong Catholic ethos, an established boarding program and a supportive regional community. This leadership opportunity provides the successful educator with the scope to shape curriculum direction, strengthen academic outcomes and make a meaningful impact on teaching and learning across the College.
About the Role
The College is seeking an experienced and capable Leader of Curriculum to provide strategic leadership across Years 7-12. This is a full-time permanent teaching position with a 3-year leadership contract. The successful applicant will lead curriculum development and academic excellence while maintaining a classroom teaching load and supporting the broader pastoral and co-curricular life of the College.
Skills and Responsibilities

Lead curriculum development, implementation and evaluation across Years 7-12, supporting high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.

Deliver effective classroom teaching while maintaining a positive, disciplined and supportive learning environment.

Promote student safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care through meaningful engagement with students and adherence to College policies.

Communicate effectively with teaching staff, students, families and College leadership regarding curriculum, learning and academic progress.

Provide strategic leadership to teaching teams, supporting collaboration, professional practice and continuous improvement across the College.
Requirements

Registration with or eligibility for NESA accreditation.

Relevant teaching qualifications and demonstrated experience in secondary education.

Demonstrated curriculum leadership capability and a commitment to academic excellence.

Capacity to support and contribute positively to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College.

Full Australian work rights.

Two professional referees and completion of HARKE's onboarding and safeguarding requirements.
Salary and Benefits
The successful applicant will receive a salary of $92,000 - $133,000, dependent on experience, plus a Level 3 Coordinator Allowance (~$30,000) in accordance with the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers - Model C) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023 and Marist Schools Australia.
Relocation assistance may be available, including potential support with accommodation and moving costs, following discussion with the Principal after interview.
