General Practitioner | Flexible 2-4 Days | Rolleston

Phoenix Healthcare is a growing, community-focused general practice based in Rolleston, one of New Zealand's fastest-expanding areas. With a current enrolled population of approximately 1,700 patients — predominantly family-focused with lower overall complexity (149 complex patients) — this is an excellent opportunity to join a practice at an exciting stage of development.
We are seeking one or two General Practitioners (GPEP2 through to Fellow level) to join the team on a flexible basis. Both permanent and contractor arrangements are available.
The Opportunity:
• Flexible working: 2-4 days per week
• Permanent or contractor options available
• Salary above market rates
• Tuesday and Friday cover required; Wednesday and Thursday ideally covered
• Open to either 1 GP or 2 GPs depending on availability
• Relocation support available for candidates committing to a minimum 6-month period
• Indici patient management system
The Team:
• Medical Director (also practising GP)
• Fellow (working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday)
• 2 x 1.0 FTE Practice Nurse
• 2 Administrators
• Strong clinical support from the Medical Director and a remote doctor based in Wanaka supporting admin workload
Clinical Environment:
• Family-focused patient base with lower overall complexity
• Appointment structure averaging approximately 10 patients per hour (just over 15-minute consults), allowing for more time per patient than many high-volume practices
• Focus on delivering quality, patient-centred care within a supportive team setting
About You:
• Registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (or eligible)
• Open to GPEP2 through to Fellowship level
• Committed to high-quality, community-based care
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills
