We're seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide specialist clinical oversight, diagnostic confirmation, and multidisciplinary leadership within a highly collaborative telehealth environment.
Working remotely for just one day per week, this is an outstanding opportunity to influence clinical quality, support fellow clinicians, and help shape the future of accessible ADHD care nationwide.

This role offers far more than patient consultations.
Approximately 60% of your time will be dedicated to clinical oversight—reviewing ADHD assessments completed by General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners, facilitating multidisciplinary discussions, supporting clinical decision-making, and maintaining exceptional governance standards.
The remaining 40% involves brief telehealth consultations, confirming diagnoses with patients, discussing treatment pathways, and providing expert guidance throughout their care journey.

Your Role You'll be responsible for:
- Reviewing and confirming adult ADHD assessments
- Providing specialist diagnostic sign-off and clinical oversight
- Conducting brief telehealth diagnostic confirmation appointments
- Facilitating multidisciplinary team meetings
- Supporting GPs and Nurse Practitioners with complex clinical queries
- Leading clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
- Maintaining evidence-based, patient-centred clinical practice
You are an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who enjoys combining specialist clinical expertise with leadership, collaboration, and service development.
You'll bring:
- Vocational registration in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or recognised equivalent
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Minimum three years' post-Fellowship Consultant Psychiatrist experience
- Excellent clinical reasoning and diagnostic assessment skills
- Confidence working autonomously within a telehealth environment
- Outstanding communication and collaborative leadership skills
- A passion for delivering accessible, evidence-based mental healthcare
