This is a newly created Technical Delivery Lead opportunity responsible for a key technology workstream supporting the deployment of almost 12,000 EUC device across close to 100 sites.

Role Description:
As the Technical Delivery Lead, you will lead the device deployment workstream, working closely with internal technical teams, suppliers and other technology workstreams to deliver a complex and highly time-critical program.

This is not a traditional Project Manager role. The successful candidate will require strong technical depth, particularly across infrastructure, devices and large-scale deployments, combined with the ability to manage suppliers, risks, dependencies and delivery schedules.
Responsibilities:

  • Technical delivery leadership: Lead the planning and delivery of a large-scale device and technology deployment
  • Workstream leadership: Take ownership of the voting tablet technology workstream and drive delivery through to completion
  • Deployment planning: Coordinate the deployment of approximately 12,000 devices across close to 100 sites
  • Technical coordination: Work closely with internal technical teams to understand solution requirements, configuration, testing and deployment activities
  • Supplier management: Act as a key conduit between the project, technical teams and suppliers, managing supplier performance and delivery
  • Schedule management: Develop and manage delivery schedules, milestones and critical activities
  • Risk & issue management: Maintain RAID activities and proactively identify, manage and escalate risks and issues
  • Dependency management: Identify and manage dependencies across multiple technology workstreams
  • Workshops: Lead kick-off meetings, technical workshops and delivery planning sessions
  • Problem resolution: Use sufficient technical knowledge to understand issues, engage the right technical resources and drive issues through to practical outcomes
  • Stakeholder management: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers and project leadership
  • Go-live readiness: Support testing, deployment and site readiness activities
  • Delivery assurance: Maintain momentum against highly constrained and largely immovable delivery dates

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in technology delivery leadership across complex technology, infrastructure or transformation programs
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale technology, infrastructure, device or site deployments
  • Strong understanding of end-user computing, devices, tablets, infrastructure or technology deployment
  • Experience managing large-scale deployment schedules and delivery activities
  • Strong supplier and vendor management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies and RAID
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to engage confidently with technical teams and understand technical issues without needing to be the hands-on technical specialist
  • Proven ability to drive issues through to resolution and deliver outcomes
  • Experience working in highly time-critical environments with fixed or immovable deadlines
  • Ability to work across multiple technology workstreams and manage complex dependencies
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Previous government experience is desirable, particularly experience working within highly governed environments
  • NICE CXone or other contact centre technology experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong infrastructure and large-scale deployment experience will be prioritised over specific CXone experience
