Head of SAP Supply Chain Technology

This is: the job

An opportunity for an experienced SAP technology leader to take ownership of the supply chain technology function within a complex, national organisation. You will build strong partnerships across Supply Chain and IT while leading the delivery of technology improvements that support operational efficiency and business outcomes.

This 12-month contract offers broad responsibility across SAP S/4HANA, decentralised EWM, SAP Ariba and SAP IBP. You will connect business priorities with technology delivery, manage vendor relationships and help shape continuous improvement across a large application environment.

Based in the Northern Suburbs, the role requires a minimum of four days per week in the office and may involve some travel within Australia. 

This is: what you'll do

• Lead the SAP IT Supply Chain functional area across operational and strategic priorities.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across logistics, direct procurement, demand planning and supply planning.
• Deliver continuous improvement and enhancement initiatives across SAP S/4HANA, EWM, Ariba and IBP.
• Ensure solution designs align with broader Supply Chain and IT strategies.
• Support the development of business cases and adherence to project governance requirements.
• Manage the relationship with outsourced application support and maintenance partners.
• Collaborate with technology teams supporting Azure, Snowflake and Power BI data and reporting capabilities.
• Drive a continuous improvement culture focused on efficiency, service delivery and cost reduction.
• Oversee team goals, mentoring, recruitment activities, vendor performance and mandatory training compliance.
• Support effective risk management, workplace safety and delivery governance. 

This is: what you'll need

• Experience leading an SAP or enterprise supply chain technology function.
• At least one full-cycle, end-to-end SAP implementation or substantial SAP run and BAU experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and related SaaS products, including SAP IBP.
• Practical experience with decentralised SAP EWM and a sound understanding of its architecture and processes.
• Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, business analysis and process mapping.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and planning capability.
• Ability to translate technical concepts clearly for business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience managing teams, vendors and outsourced support relationships.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills.
• A tertiary qualification in business, supply chain or IT, relevant leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Power BI or pharmaceutical industry experience will be valued.
• A current driver's licence and Australian working rights.
