About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you’ll be part of a collaborative payroll team responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing weekly and monthly end-to-end payroll
  • Managing payroll and time management queries through a centralised ticketing system
  • Completing month-end activities including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and third-party payments
  • Interpreting relevant awards, agreements and employment legislation
  • Completing payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting and compliance reviews
  • Maintaining accurate payroll and HR data
  • Supporting continuous improvement across payroll processes and systems
  • Working closely with employees, leaders, HR and external stakeholders to resolve payroll queries
  • Maintaining payroll procedures and documentation

About You

We’re looking for a confident payroll professional who enjoys working in a busy environment and can manage competing deadlines.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a medium to large organisation
  • Experience processing weekly and/or monthly payroll
  • Strong knowledge of PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and payroll legislation
  • Experience with Chris21 is highly regarded
  • Good understanding of awards and industrial frameworks
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a wider HR team
