Payroll Officer

Our client is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their Accounting and Financial Services team on a temporary basis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with solid payroll expertise who wants to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment. You'll handle the full spectrum of payroll operations, from processing payments and superannuation contributions through to managing employee onboarding and termination calculations with accuracy and care.

Preferred Requirements

• Proven payroll processing experience with demonstrated competency in super payment calculations
• Strong understanding of onboarding calculations and the ability to set up new employee records accurately
• Solid knowledge of termination calculations, including final pay and leave entitlements
• Familiarity with payroll software and systems, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly
• Attention to detail and a commitment to compliance with Australian payroll legislation and superannuation requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Payroll Administration, or a related field
• Experience working in a payroll or HR function within an accounting or financial services environment
• Familiarity with PAYG withholding, superannuation guarantee obligations, and ATO reporting requirements
