Manual Mill and Lathe Machinist

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual milling machines and engine lathes

  • Machine precision parts from blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

  • Perform drilling, boring, turning, threading, facing, and other machining operations

  • Hold close tolerances while producing quality finished parts

  • Inspect completed work using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges

  • Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for a variety of materials

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Work closely with the production team to meet quality and delivery expectations

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience operating manual mills and lathes in a manufacturing or machine shop environment

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and precision measurements

  • Experience working to tight tolerances

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Dependable attendance and a commitment to producing quality work

  • Technical training or apprenticeship is a plus but not required with relevant experience. 

Benefits/Compensation

  • Full Time

  • Pay Rate is $25-$28/hour

  • 1st Shift | 12 hour shifts

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

  • Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts

  • Temp-To-Hire

  • Benefits after Probation period
