Driveline & Electrification Vehicle System Engineer

Vehicle system integration and validation for powertrain

• Take ownership of assigned vehicle system function within the Driveline and Electrification system to provide a solution that meet customer technical requirement.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines to develop system design specifications and optimize vehicle performance
• Plan and perform variety of levels of validation test such that at component level, system level and vehicle level.
• Data measurement and analysis and give prompt feedback to global team.
• Support calibration of system functions to comply with project requirements. Complete sign-off procedures for vehicle algorithms, calibration, and final product testing. Undertake system and vehicle development and problem-solving within tight timescales
• Fully document the design development and verification of developed systems

Customer Interface and Communication Support

• Close communication and baseline management with customer as local contact (could be resident engineer role)
• Coordinate required resources and schedule with customer and global team
• Support commercial and acquisition communication when needed.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in a relevant science or Engineering disciplines
• Professional working experience in automotive industry (min 3 yrs)
• An understanding of modern automotive systems and common automotive practices
• High quality customer communication skill and customer orientation
• A team player with global team and additional ability to work alone unsupervised.
• Language: Japanese (Native level), English (Business level)
• Professional experience of development of HEV/BEV vehicle and related components (preferred)
• Professional experience of testing, verification, development of SW/HW (preferred)
• Experience in System integration Tools and CAN tool (ex. Matlab, CANape, ETAS INCA) (preferred)
