CMM Quality Inspector

Join a growing aerospace manufacturing environment where precision and quality are critical to production success. This role is ideal for an experienced inspector with strong knowledge of CMM operation, GD&T interpretation, blueprint reading, and precision measurement equipment in a machining or aerospace setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform in-process, first article, and final inspections on aerospace machined parts and assemblies
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to support production and inspection processes
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, radius gauges, air gauges, and surface plates
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to verify compliance
  • Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and inspection reports
  • Identify and document non-conforming parts, deviations, and rework requirements
  • Support manufacturing and engineering teams with troubleshooting and quality improvement efforts
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2+ years of quality inspection experience in machining or manufacturing
  • Experience operating CMM equipment required
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
  • Hands-on experience using precision inspection and measurement tools
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with FAI documentation, AS9102 standards, and quality reporting preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
