Expatriate Interior Design Lecturer

Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious international higher education institution for an experienced Interior Design Lecturer (Expatriate) based in Jakarta.

We are seeking a passionate educator with strong industry expertise to inspire the next generation of interior designers. The ideal candidate combines academic excellence with practical experience and is committed to delivering engaging, project-based learning in an international academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and studio-based learning sessions in Interior Design and related disciplines.
• Mentor students through design projects, portfolio development, and academic progression.
• Develop, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student assignments and design work.
• Integrate current industry practices, technologies, and design trends into the learning experience.
• Support curriculum enhancement to ensure alignment with global industry standards.
• Participate in academic events, exhibitions, workshops, and other faculty initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in higher education or post-secondary institutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong professional portfolio demonstrating commercial and/or residential design projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or other 3D visualization tools is highly preferred.
• Experience working in an international or multicultural academic environment is an advantage.
