Process Quality Engineer

Job Description: 

The following duties are required at the Hiroshima Plant, which manufactures electronic components for automobiles (centre displays, speedometers, etc.)

1) Product quality activities before/after mass production
2) Realisation of quality control for new products and processes
3) Customer relations (obtaining approvals, auditing)

Duties:

1) Quality development activities before/after mass production
　1) Quality development activities before/after mass production
　2) Activities related to quality development
　1) Initial flow control planning, implementation and follow-up.
　1) Quality development activities before and after mass production - Establishment of key control characteristics and quality control methods - Activities related to quality development - Planning, implementation and follow-up of the initial flow control plan
2) Customer support for new start-up and quality improvement activities
　Submission and approval of documents required by customers, such as APQP, PPAP and change requests.
　Hold regular and irregular customer meetings.
3) Implement countermeasures/improvement measures for customer quality problems.
　Provisional response to defects when they occur
　Investigate causes of defects (5-why, FTA, QC tools, etc.)
　Checking the validity of permanent measures and verifying their effectiveness

Requirements

Skills/experience required:

• Experience in a plant quality control department in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of IATF/ISO 9001
• Other preferably have.

Other experience, etc. to be preferably possessed:

• Experience of launching new products in an automotive company.
• IATF 16949 internal audit qualification
• Experience in supplier quality improvement activities
• Experience of working overseas
