ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a brilliant opportunity to build your career in government business and parliamentary affairs. You'll coordinate ministerial and government requests, parliamentary processes, reporting obligations and critical information flows. Working across the organisation, you'll keep deadlines moving, maintain accurate tracking systems and ensure sensitive requests are handled with professionalism, accuracy and urgency.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a brilliant opportunity to build your career in government business and parliamentary affairs. You'll coordinate ministerial and government requests, parliamentary processes, reporting obligations and critical information flows. Working across the organisation, you'll keep deadlines moving, maintain accurate tracking systems and ensure sensitive requests are handled with professionalism, accuracy and urgency.
DUTIES
- Coordinate incoming requests from ministerial offices, government departments and key external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate trackers, deadlines and allocation processes across government business activities
- Collate organisational inputs for regular ministerial reporting
- Support preparation for ministerial events, briefings and government engagement
- Coordinate Questions on Notice, including tracking, documentation and business-unit inputs
- Support Senate Estimates preparation and parliamentary reporting requirements
- Assist with parliamentary inquiries, statutory requests and legislative obligations
- Coordinate FOI and other information requests across relevant internal teams
- Maintain compliance registers, workflow documentation, templates and process materials
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative and coordination processes
- 3+ years' experience in administration, coordination, government or program support
- Strong organisational skills and confidence managing multiple fixed deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail across documentation, tracking and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience maintaining trackers, databases or workflow systems
- Confidence following up stakeholders and proactively sourcing information
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with ministerial correspondence, parliamentary processes, FOI or government operations is highly desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience
- Competitive $119,700 remuneration package midpoint
