Principal Engineer Work Package Delivery

About the Role

The Department of Transport and Main Roads, North Coast Region, requires an experienced civil infrastructure works package delivery leader for a 2-year contract.

This role will lead assigned civil infrastructure work packages from client-side development and procurement through to Alliance award and mobilisation. The role integrates technical, operational, commercial, property, stakeholder and assurance inputs to create award-ready packages that support value, innovation and whole-of-life outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role you, it is expected you will possess:

· Demonstrated leadership of complex infrastructure work packages in a multidisciplinary environment. Roads, highways and associated infrastructure experience will be very well regarded.

· Strong understanding of engineering governance, operational integration, procurement and delivery assurance.

· Ability to lead through influence across organizational boundaries and competing accountabilities.

· Highly developed facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution and executive communication skills.

· Commercial awareness and experience in collaborative or relational contracting environments.

· Sound judgement and personal integrity, with the ability to maintain trust while making difficult recommendations.

· Commitment to safety, customer outcomes, technical integrity, whole-of-life value and continuous improvement.

· Previous experience working in an alliance arrangement.
