The Company
Our client is a well-established distributor operating within the HVAC and building services sector. The business has a strong reputation in the Irish market and works with leading manufacturers across air conditioning, AHUs, components, and related HVAC solutions.
With a broad customer base and strong internal support, the company provides commercial HVAC products and technical solutions to contractors, consultants, and other customers across Ireland.
The Role
This is a Business Development Manager position specialising in air conditioning. The role will focus on developing existing accounts, winning new business, and promoting large-scale air-conditioning systems, AHUs, components, and related products.
The role covers a national territory within the Republic of Ireland and will involve regular travel to customer sites. It is predominantly field-based, with approximately 90% of the role spent on the road or working from home. Office attendance is expected approximately twice per month, with overnight stays expensed where required.
Customers will include mechanical contractors, primarily within the commercial sector, as well as selected large-scale residential customers and consultants. Typical contacts will include procurement teams, contracts managers, and design engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing existing customer relationships.
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Promoting commercial air-conditioning systems, AHUs, components, and related products.
- Developing relationships with mechanical contractors and consultants.
- Engaging with procurement, contracts, and design stakeholders.
- Managing the sales process from initial opportunity through to completion.
- Working with internal estimation and support teams to provide suitable solutions.
- Balancing account management with new business development.
- Maintaining accurate records of customer activity and sales opportunities.
- Representing the business professionally throughout the assigned territory.

The Person
The ideal candidate will have field sales experience within the HVAC commercial market, with strong relationships across M&E contractors. Experience selling air-conditioning systems, AHUs, HVAC equipment, or related technical products would be highly relevant.
Knowledge of F-Gas regulations and air-conditioning applications would be an advantage.

- Willing to travel regularly as part of the role.
The Package
- €60,000–€80,000 base salary.
